We have had the opportunity to avail ourselves to a small mini break in for the weekend. So due to a lull in the reservations at Eden Park Bed and Breakfast ….off we went. Lots of books and treats and generally just lazing around doing nothing. BLISS.
I am very interested to watch the progress of ETNZ in San Francisco with the Americas Cup. It’s still early and we are well versed in the adage of “it’s not over until the fat lady sings” but I think we have the real deal with this boat. Lets hope it remains upright until the last race……

There are some photos that take your breath away. This photo from Hawaii is UNBELIEVABLE.
A bottlenose dolphin is captured on film hitching a ride on the nose of a humpback.
Remarkable images were captured in two locations in Hawaiian waters of whales lifting dolphins out of the water with their heads, and then the dolphins sliding back down.
The two species seemed to co-operate in the activity, and neither displayed signs of aggression .
Whales and dolphins in Hawaiian waters often interact, but playful social activity such as this was extremely rare between species. We can only hope that such sights will one day be seen in New Zealand waters. I might have to cease being #2 at Eden Park Bed and Breakfast and become a seafarer again !
