Sonny Bill Williams to stay with New Zealand rugby until 2019
Sonny Bill Williams, the New Zealand rugby league international and heavyweight boxing champion, who is hoping to win gold in Olympic rugby sevens for his country in August, helped the All Blacks to successive World Cup triumphs in 2011 and last year.
Williams will be playing for the  Super Rugby league  with The Blues (Auckland) , reuniting with the coach no other than the one that got him away from New Zealand and got him to play in the French Club back in 2008.
Williams will not be taking part in the June Test against the Wales team. Â He will be playing during this year’s Rugby Championship.
Williams is not in the New Zealand squad preparing for the June Test series against Wales, having decided to commit fully to the All Blacks sevens programme. He is, however, expected to be available for this yearâs Rugby Championship as well as the end-of-year tour once his Olympics commitments end.
